Product Description
EpaSet is a disposable needle with an atraumatic cannula made with AISI 304 steel and a \"Menghini\" sharpened tip. The device is used for soft tissue biopsies such as kidney, lymph node, liver, and thyroid.
The device is equipped with:
a needle with a \"Menghini\" tip
a syringe with a sliding stopper to create vacuum pressure
a hypodermic needle for anesthetic or physiologic solution injection
a scalpel for skin incision
The syringe contains an internal steel device that allows the operator to gradually transmit vacuum pressure from the syringe to the needle and avoid tissue aspiration into the syringe, keeping the sample in the cannula and easing sample expulsion.
The needle also features a luer lock that provides safer attachment to the syringe without loss of vacuum pressure. The cannula is equipped with a sliding stopper that enables the user to fix the desired insertion depth. Internal echogenic markers enhance ultrasound visibility.
