RHINO is the first nasal retainer adapted to a wide range of morphologies.

For what purpose?
CE-labelled, this class 1 device (according to Dir 93/42/EEC) is made of silicone (2 hardness levels, 15 ShA or 30 ShA) in compliance with ISO 13485:2016, from 3D-printed moulds. The RHINO nasal retainer is designed to hold the nasal septum and alae after rhinoplasty, cleft lip and palate surgery, choanal atresia or congenital stenosis of the pyriform aperture. It restores standard anatomical morphology and stabilises tissues after surgery.

The device includes a philtrum support plate to protect the healing area. The adult models can also be used for facial reconstructions, as is the case at Hôpital d’instruction des armées Percy, or for cosmetic surgery.

The RHINO range was designed in partnership with AP-HP, Université Paris Descartes and the Necker Enfants Malades Hospital.

The usefulness of nasal retainers has been demonstrated in several scientific publications including Yeow VK et al. The use of nasal splints in the primary management of unilateral cleft nasal deformity. Plast Reconst Surg 1999. 103:1347-1354

RHINO nasal retainers are manufactured in France in 2 steps:
1. Moulds are 3D-printed
2. Biocompatible silicone is manually injected into the moulds
