ProDetect™ hCG Pregnancy Rapid Test is a rapid pregnancy test. It detects the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone which appears in urine during early pregnancy.
The test is performed by applying the urine sample to the sample well of the cassette and observing the formation of colored lines. Elevated levels of hCG are selectively detected by utilizing the combinations of antibodies including monoclonal hCG antibodies. The sample migrates by capillary effect along the membrane. HCG in the sample reacts with the specific antibody-dye conjugate and is captured by the immobilized antibodies in the test (T) region.
