The cold sterilization can be obtained with lamps producing a discharge of ultraviolet rays with wave length of 2537 A (Germicidal lamp).
The radiations of this wave length beside having a high bactericide power give off ozone vapours, purifier of the air.
TAU ULTRAVIOLET is also used for the long term conservation of previously sterilized material (through autoclave or dry sterilizer).
For this reason its use is appreciated in the infirmaries of extremely different environments, from factories, to educative associations (kindergartens, schools, colleges, boarding schools, ect.), from the veterinary clinics to the beauty parlours.
