Tube malleable semi rigid penile prosthesis is leading for surgical insertion in the corpus cavernosum penis. TUBE Malleable Semi rigid Penile Prosthesis is a malleable, semi rigid implant, leading for use in the surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction. The proximal section of the implant can be cut and radiopaque silicone extenders can be added in order to offer a wide range of prosthesis lenghts to fit precisely in the patient's anatomy.
The proximal end has greater hardness, which improves prosthesis rigidity and ensures patient comfort. The distal end has low hardness, which reduces the risk of irritation and erosion. The silver core coated in PTFE is contained in a cover made with three types of silicone elastomers. It consists of two hemiprostheses or cylinders composed of a core of silver, covered with a tube of polytetrafluoroethylene , all in turn contained within a solid silicone shell.
