Bone Marrow Aspiration Needle

The needle is equipped with an atraumatic cannula with Chiba type sharpening made out of tempered AISI 304 stainless steel. The Chiba type sharpening facilitate the needle insertion while maintaining high mechanical strength. The cannula of the device comes with centimeter markings.

PenBone is provided with an adjustable and removable depth limiter which provides a greater variation of length and an optimization of cannula lengths.

The syringe can be attached to the device by removing the stylet and using the luer lock connection underneath.

PenBone is provided with a safety spacer, which allows the operator to select the depth of insertion. Thanks to the safety spacer, the device is characterized by a variable length, which is represented in the picture below.

PenBone ​E is a variant of the needle specifically designed for bone marrow harvest procedures and haemopoietic stem cell HST) transplantation. The needle is equipped with a cannula with side holes arranged at 180 degree.

Pen-Bone is the pediatric version of the PenBone needle. In this version, the adjustable and removable depth limiter is not present.
