Product Description
Epiprotect is a biosynthetic membrane for advanced wound healing, which can be used for the treatment of first degree and second-degree burns. The exact and controlled production gives the material unique properties such as superior conformability, transparency, strength and breathability. In cases of different degree skin burns the membran is placed on top of the wound and functiones as an „artificial skin“. It protects the wound from dirt and other particles to reduce the risk of infection. Thanks to the properties of the membrane the oxygen exchange of the wound with the environment is possible and improves the healing.
Besides it is very easy to apply and to cut in terms of size adaption for the individual wound. During the treatment period it only has to be applied once, which saves a lot of material and time.
