Reconstruction Shell
Reconstruction ring for larger acetabular defects
The AESCULAP® Reconstruction Shell is intended for severe acetabular revision cases. The anatomical geometry reinforces the bony acetabular bed in the loading area. Surgeons have the option to choose between left and right versions of the implant. The outer diameter ranges from 52 up to 64 mm in 6 mm increments. The appropriate cemented polyethylene cup is fixed in place using bone cement. Vitelene® cemented PE cups are also available. The 6.5 mm fixation screws offer additional stability.
