Product Description

The storage tanks fill up gradually as the effluents arrive and transfer from the first tank to the second tank takes place when the high level is reached and so on, if the plant is equipped with additional tanks.

No treatment is carried out in these tanks; effluent is stored in them for the time needed for decay according to the radio element and the period of the isotope. The qualified radiology staff member is the only person who can authorize release when the decay time is complete.

Ruling on 23 July 2008 concerning the homologation of decision No. 2008-DC-0095 by the ASN on 29/01/2008 setting down in the technical rules to be fulfilled for the elimination of effluent and waste contaminated by radionuclides.
