Arthroscopy Shaver

The Skytron system is indicated for use in orthopedic and arthroscopic procedures on the knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, wrist and hip. Skytron System provides abrasion, resection, debridement and removal of bone and soft tissue with the razor blade, ablation and coagulation of soft tissue, as well as hemostasis of blood vessels through the electrosurgical probe. Examples of product uses include resection, ablation, and coagulation of torn knee cartilage, subacromial decompression, and resection of synovial tissue in other joints.

Skytron Console

The Skytron system, as shown below, consists of the following components:

Acts as the hub of connection for the various components of the Skytron system
Powers a motorized handpiece that allows shaving for mechanical cutting and debridement of bone and soft tissue.
Generates bipolar radio frequency (RF) energy for electrosurgical cutting and coagulation of tissue.
Provides a central user interface for operating the Skytron system.
Disposable RF probe.
Enables RF cutting and coagulation.
Power tool for shaving (and only one useable plug-ins).
Arthroscopic cutting and debridement procedures makes it possible.

Allows remote foot control of the probe All probes are designed with a hand piece that provides both comfort and utility with multiple button functions, allowing the surgeon to operate the cut and coagulation modes as well as change the power settings on the system.
